Genero eta sexuaren berridazketa: Itxaro Borda eta polizia eleberrien kasua

Abstract

Amaia Ezpeldoi is the only lesbian detective in the history of Basque literature and has been chosen for this article in view of the importance and the contribution of her character. Itxaro Borda offers us a view of the world through the eyes of a woman. First of all, the concepts dealt with in detective stories are discussed briefly. The development is based on the study of the contribution of women writers to the crime genre. Finally, the figure of Amaia Ezpeldoi, female detective and protagonist of five novels written by Itxaro Borda, is discussed.
