A perspective for the future is suggested for study of the oral tradition. A theoretical basis was established for the benefits and the importance of the oral tradition, and work was done on compilation, creating a suitable tool for this. We used this tool to approach pupils and teachers in seventeen schools. Thanks to their contributions we created a catalogue of oral rhetoric. We compiled, among other things, sayings, poems, songs, tongue twisters and good luck formulas. The results were analyzed and it was checked whether the same elements as usual were repeated, or whether on the contrary new ones appeared or there had been any fusion between the classic and the new. In turn, it was considered whether these examples are most widely heard in the school sphere in general, and whether they already appear in anthologies of oral literature. Finally, all these elements of oral rhetoric were compiled and made available to schools. It should be borne in mind that this consists of the oral literature currently transmitted in schools. It must also be pointed out that this is no more than a brief approximation, both from a theoretical and from an empirical point of view, to the oral tradition that is being shaped in the school environment.
