Abstract

In literary censorship, the term “reader” was referred to the mediator: the text’s first reading was in their hands and they wrote the first reports advising against their publication or for it. It is essential to read these reports and to know the assessments they made to understand the significant role of these readers-censors. Reading these reports we realize that the interpretations made on some literary works were complex and even paradoxical; for instance, those made on the novels Haur besoetakoa (1970) by Mirande or Egunero hasten delako (1969) and 100 metro (1976) by Saizarbitoria.
