Azkue’s Triple questionnaire has been considered as the precursor of the Linguistic Atlas of the varieties of the Basque language. However, even when there are similarities in the processes to collect the information, the goals of both projects are so different that we consider this affirmation as not valid. The project Euskararen Herri Hizkeren Atlasa has not been concluded yet, contrary to other concluded Atlas languages. Thus, although there are not many options to analyze what has been published, we can examine some cases of polysemy by studying the published information about the questions referred to human body parts. That is a clear consequence of the richness of the Linguistic Atlas of the varieties of the Basque language.
