Abstract

R. M.ª Azkue is attracted to languages and music. In his narrations he resorted to what interested him, although he only wrote two novels, in the first, Ardi galdua (1918) the objective is to present a unified code of Euskara, but incorporating other languages such as Spanish, French, Latin and English. In his second novel, Latsibi, which failed to get published, he added Greek and Italian to the five languages used in his first novel.
