Abstract

The analysis of the book Kandelikara. Buñueli buruzko film baterako apunteak, published by Harkaitz Cano in 2021, offers the possibility of understanding the main keys and ideas of postmodern narration. The text —unclassifiable in terms of genre— establishes from a fragmentary view and the experiences of Spanish film director Luis Buñuel a metaliterary dialogue between the avant-garde of the twentieth century and postmodernity. Along the way, it reflects from various perspectives, experiences and reflections, on the relationship between cinema and literature and creates a polyphonic narrative through different voices. Along with this, the collage structure of the text allows analyzing the limits between fiction and reality and facing the idea of the totality of every story, including that of History.
