Abstract

Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) affects two out of every 30 students (Norbury et al. 2016), but generally goes unnoticed due to lack of awareness and difficulties in diagnosis. This project has attempted to identify some indicators of DLD in Basque by using tools designed for this experiment as well as others in the process of being standardized. In light of the results, errors related to the -ela and -en complementizers may be potential indicators of DLD in Basque, though young Basque speakers without DLD also make mistakes with verbal forms.
