In this work, I study a recently appeared 18th-19th-century Basque text from Higher Amescoa. It is a unique testimony of the lost variety spoken there. I describe the document, and I show who wrote it and when. I also transcribe and edit the text. In the linguistic analysis, I compare it with the historical text corpus from the surrounding varieties. I conclude that Basque was still alive in Eulate at that time, and that such variety was linguistically related to Western and the bordering Alavese Basque.
