Abstract

Information is provided on the life of the author Eusebio Maria Azcue (Lekeitio, 1813-1873). As a result of archival research, previously unpublished documents are presented to the reader and researcher. The research has been carried out primarily in the Biscay Foral Archives and in the municipal archives of Bermeo, Mundaka and Lekeitio. As well as informing of a daughter whose existence was unknown until now, new information is provided on various aspects of his private and professional life. The article ends with a study of the contribution made by Eusebio Azcue’s poetry.
