Abstract

These two poems, «Demand for a kiss» first, and then «Love requirement» both show how daring a boy or man is. In another development or step in the poem called «Lovers’ quarrel», the boy finally rapes the girl. Nevertheless, poems X and XI of the work of the poet Etxepare have to be put together, XI being the continuation of X, to show how badly the man behaved, thus adding to the scorn and contempt.
