Zentsuraren anbibalentzia: Orixeren "Euskaldunak"-en kasua

Abstract

In this article is analyzed the problems that Orixe's Euskaldunak (The Basques) had with francoist censorship. Based on censorship reports, the article analyses the way various editions had an ambivalent treatment along years, examining the reason fot that. The reception of the work, Orixe’s recognition process, and the political context are fundamental to understand the varied valuation of the work. Thus, is necessary to remind that francoist censorship was highly arbitrary, and Euskaldunak is another example of that.
